Mission at the Eastward (MATE) is dedicated to empowering communities in Central Western Maine by addressing critical needs linked to housing insecurity and homelessness. Your generosity helps us extend a helping hand to our neighbors in-need, providing life-changing assistance and fostering hope where it’s most needed.

Through your support, MATE can continue to offer volunteer home repairs to our neighbors experiencing housing insecurity, provide transitional housing to members of our community who are experiencing situational homelessness, and enrich the lives of youth. “Recently we were chosen for home repairs by Mission at the Eastward. They built a set of stairs for us, the ones we had were old bricks and rocks and very unsafe. The day work started, a group of young adults arrived and a carpenter to teach them. The group was shown how to use saws and drills and instructed how to measure and the work began. It was so amazing to see this group learn and build our new steps. We had such a wonderful time watching them and spending time with them. We are so proud of all of them and beyond blessed with our new steps. Thanks to Mission at the Eastward for providing the materials and giving us such a wonderful group for the week. God bless!”
