Dear MATE Family and Friends,

I’m beyond grateful and blessed to have been given the opportunity to lead MATE into the future. Since I started in August, I’ve had the honor of getting to meet many of you, and it’s clear how much MATE means to you, and in turn, how much you all mean to MATE. Those of you who volunteer your time and talents, along with those who generously donate their resources, and all those who we serve, are truly the lifeblood of our organization: MATE exists because of you!

I believe that the Holy Spirit led me to become the Executive Director of this incredible organization that serves the communities in which I was fortunate to be raised. I can’t be more excited and thankful to be able to dedicate my God-given talents, knowledge, and time and effort to helping the organization thrive and expand. Much work has been done to build MATE into the strong organization that it is today. I’m very thankful to those who came before me and paved the way on which we’re now traveling into a bright future for MATE and those we serve. There are many ideas and initiatives that I look forward to exploring at MATE and building off the successes of the past. A top priority of mine will be how we engage with youth and young adults, serving as role models and helping to foster the next generations of leaders in their communities and the world at large.

For those of you that I haven’t had the privilege of meeting yet, I look forward to doing so and getting to know you and how MATE has impacted your life and why you support the organization. Together, we’re going to accomplish great things, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for us. From the bottom of my heart, I thank each and every one of you for your dedicated and continued support of our mission to serve the “least of these” by building lives of hope, dignity, and security in Central Western Maine.

I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and a joyous New Year!

Sincerely,
Christopher L. DeLisle
